Renodepedia is a follow-on effort to the Renode Zephyr Dashboard – a massive Continuous Integration system that covers testing of more than 50% of all Zephyr build targets against several test cases. Register here. \nJoin the webinar to learn how to uncover data that is often obscured from engineers and how Zephyr’s structure yields practical benefits – and listen about our journey from being able to run a dozen or so cases\, to over a thousand green ticks in our dashboard\, and then to organizing this data further into a navigable\, testable and verifiable portal that can help future developers understand the broad landscape of available hardware platforms. \nWe will show you how to process device trees hosted by Zephyr using a new tool called dts2repl\, from which we automatically generate simulation scenarios for Renode which we then execute with a passing result on over 200 targets. \nWith data gathered from Zephyr\, dts2repl\, Renode and the Zephyr Dashboard we are able to construct a new source of knowledge – Renodepedia\, which presents this data in a coherent and interlinked way\, allowing you to navigate the complex ecosystem and helping answer questions every project faces: “which platform will work for me?”\, “what if my SoC becomes unavailable?”\, “how to migrate to a different hardware platform without rewriting my entire software stack?” (spoiler alert: use Zephyr and Renode). \nSpeakers:  \nPiotr Zierhoffer\, Engineering Manager\, Renode Team\, Antmicro \nMichael Gielda\, VP Business Development\, Antmicro \nRegister here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

It is a must-attend for business and technical leaders looking to advance open source strategy\, implementation\, and investment in their organizations and learn how to collaboratively manage the largest shared technology investment of our time. \nKate Stewart\, Vice President of Dependable Embedded Systems\, is on-site at Member Summit. She’ll be giving a presentation on Thursday\, November 10 at 3:10-3:40 pm PT titled\, “Depending on Open Source for Embedded Systems.” \nOpen source software has an increasing role in embedded system software today\, as products are leveraging the new functionality and abstraction emerging. From cars\, to wearables\, to smart homes\, improved energy infrastructure\, it surrounds us. There are now more IoT devices on this planet than there are people\, and we’re on track to double the number of devices in a few short years. The more we interact with these devices\, the more we need them to be dependable. We need to bring the quality and security best practices from open source development of clouds and desktops to the resource constrained devices and ensure they can have the appropriate levels of quality\, security\, maintainability\, reliability and in some cases\, safety considerations. This talk will focus on some examples of best practices adopted in key projects like Linux\, Zephyr\, Yocto and how they are helping to improve the transparency of software as well as enable improved quality and system level analysis to ensure dependability. \nThe Linux Foundation Member Summit is an invitation-only event for member companies of The Linux Foundation and Linux Foundation Projects. This year\, the event takes place on November 15-18 at the Trade Fair Center Messe in Munich\, Germany. The extensive conference and supporting program will highlight areas including automotive\, embedded\, wireless\, IIoT\, connectors/measurement and printed electronics. This is where the industry networks—from young talents and students\, startups and skilled workers to SMEs and the global players in electronics. \nOn November 16 at 2:30-3 pm\, Nicolas Guilbaud\, Technical Advisor & Principal Architect at LACROIX\, will give a presentation titled\, “3.8 Software Platform using Zephyr and Container\, a path to answer the CPU multi-sourcing issue.” \nDuring the last 2 years as a product\, design house and EMS\, LACROIX had to answer several component shortages issues especially on processor. Processors are not so easy to multi-source as they are running SW\, especially low-level SW which is linked to the chipset. The team has spent a lot of time to port low level SW to new CPU target due to this issue. The solution presented during this session is a SW platform solution targeting MCU and CPU which permits to switch from a CPU to another with a limited effort using Zephyr SW platforms and Containers. \nLearn more about electronica or to register for the event\, click on the main event website: https://electronica.de/en/. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
